About The Canadian Maple Gold Coin

The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf is an annual gold bullion coin made by the Royal Canadian Mint. The first Gold Maple Leaf coin was created in 1979, designed by Walter Ott as an alternative gold bullion coin to the South African Krugerrand.

Between the years 1979 and 1982, the Gold Maple Leaf was the first bullion coin to be minted in 24 karat gold and was struck from gold that was 99.9% pure. Since 1983, they have been struck from of gold that is 99.99% pure and today, the Gold Maple Leaf is one of the most valuable and collected precious metal coins in the world.

Special, limited-edition Canadian Gold Maples have been created over time to mark important events and moments in the country’s and mint’s history.

In 2007, the Royal Canadian Mint made a 100 kg Canadian Gold Maple that was made of.99999 fine gold. It was the largest gold coin in the world and the face value of the coin is $1 million. It is 50 cm in diameter and 3 cm thick, and it is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest gold coin in the world.

Features of the Canadian Gold Maple Coin

The Gold Maple coin is well-known worldwide. The obverse and reverse are surrounded by radial lines and include a laser-engraved micro privy that shows the year the coin was made.

Since the Canadian Gold Maple is a sovereign bullion coin made by a member of the British Commonwealth of Nations, it has a picture of former Queen Elizabeth II on the front. This image has changed throughout the years. Under her picture, the coin’s face value is written.

On the back is a simple maple leaf. On either side of the maple, stamps state the gold is.9999 fine. “CANADA” is etched at the top, and “FINE GOLD” and the coin’s weight are at the bottom.

The gold Maple design is available in four other weights: 1/20 oz, which is worth $1, 1/10 oz, which has a face value of worth $5, 1/4 oz at $10, and the 1/2 oz with a face value of $25.

This is the purest gold bullion coin on the market and is a great way to add value and precious metals backed by the government to your portfolio. Use our buy now feature to purchase your coin or contact our team if you have any questions.
